Vincent Haïssaguerre, born in 1987 in Bordeaux (France) started his musical education not far from Bordeaux, received the second prize in the saxophone competition « Concours National d'Albi » in 2002 and entered the Conservatory of Bordeaux in 2005, where he studied saxophone and contemporary chamber music under the guidance of Jacques Net, Fabien Chouraki and Marie-Bernadette Charrier. In 2007, he obtained the Diploma of General Studies in musicology at the University of Bordeaux, before attending the Conservatory of Lyon, where he studied with Jean-Denis Michat and obtained his Certificate of Achievement, awarded unanimously with honours two years later. 

He continued his studies in the Conservatory of Versailles with the famous saxophonist Vincent David, before his acceptance in 2011 into the prestigious university of music « Hochschule für Musik und Tanz » in Cologne, Germany, in the saxophone class of Professor Daniel Gauthier. 

In 2012 Vincent Haïssaguerre completed his Bachelor of Saxophone/Pedagogy and in 2014 he completed the Master program of Saxophone/Solo. He also took classes in contemporary music from Prof. David Smeyers and Barbara Maurer, and followed his studies in Master of chamber music in the same establishment with the Orkan Saxophone Quartet, under the guidance of Professor Hans-Dietrich Klaus, the Hagen Quartet and the Casals Quartet. 

He also took part in several masterclasses with renowned teachers such as Claude Delangle, Arno Bornkamp, Nobuya Sugawa, the Habanera Quartet... 

His versatility allowed him to acquire extensive musical experience and play in festival such as « Rheingau Musik Festival », « Beethoven Woche » in Bonn, « Acht Brücken » in Cologne, « Biennale of the GRAME » in Lyon, « Nuit du piano » in Besançon, and also to perform throughout Europe in various formations from classical orchestras to experimental music ensembles. His interest in contemporary music gave him the opportunity to work with composers such as Thierry Alla, Thierry de Mey or Moritz Eggert.

Since 2013 he is laureate of the foundation « Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now », and was awarded the third price in the same year of the «Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy» chamber music competition with the Orkan Quartet. With the same quartet, Vincent Haïssaguerre won the first price and the special prize of the «Internationaler Mozart Wettbewerb » competition in Hagen in the category chamber music in 2014. 

In 2015, he was awarded the second prize at the international saxophone competition of Brasilia.

Vincent Haïssaguerre started early his career as a pedagogue, and began teaching at the Conservatory of Lyon, in Paris and Cologne, before he got appointed in 2014 as a saxophone teacher in Tübingen, where the tradition of classical saxophone in this city was initiated by Carina Rascher. He regularly gives masterclasses for saxophone in Germany, and has also given masterclasses in Spain and France.
